Description

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment to remove 4 existing 12" and 15" CMP culverts and install 4 new 18" HDPE culverts along the Cheda Ranch Road at Point Reyes National Seashore in Marin County, CA. The Cheda Ranch Road was severely impacted by heavy rains in January 2006. Erosion has accelerated and become a significant impact to the fishery habitat. This project will re-establish the road drainage system and reduce sediment deposition in the creek. Each new culvert will be installed with an armored splash basin under the culvert outflow. Upon completion of the installation, the contractor will establish an inboard drainage ditch, complete road grading and apply 4" of 1-1/2 minus AB rock. The work is expected to start in late September-early October 2006 and shall be completed within 45 days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The estimated project range is between $25,000-$100,000. A site tour will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 9:00 am (see RFQ for details).
