Description
Temporary Roof Covering System, Haki Ltd., HAKITEC 750 with HAKI Trak Sheeting, OR EQUAL. Temporary roof requirements are as follows: (Sketches attached and may also be provided on request by email to martinsa@mail.ports.navy.mil.) 1. Roof shall sit on Excel Brand modular staging. Roof shall have adapters that mate to the Excel Brand modular staging which will secure the roof structure to the staging. See sketches. 2. Two areas of roofing are required, 42? x 144? and 42? x 128?. Areas shall be completely watertight. See sketches. 3. Roof shall be capable of resisting 90mph wind loads and 35psf snow loads. 4. Roof shall be lightweight. The assembled roof structure shall weigh no more than 3 pounds per square foot. 5. Roof shall be supported on Excel Brand modular staging that is 34? wide on the inside and 42? wide on the outside. Roof shall completely cover the staging. See sketches. 6. Roof shall be portable. Roof structure shall be capable of being constructed pier side in two bay widths and then lifted and set on the Excel Brand modular staging. Roof shall also be easily assembled in place on the Excel Brand modular staging without the use of cranes. 7. Roof structure shall consist of aluminum tubing truss beams that are no more than 36? deep. Truss beam spacing shall be adjustable with bay widths that may vary between 4? and 8? wide. 8. Roof structure shall be of modular design with standardized truss beams, lacing and bracing for easy assembly. Bolting shall be minimized by utilizing spring clips and snap together components. 9. Roofs shall be capable of being assembled by Shipwrights using standard Shipwright hand tools. No heavy equipment shall be required to assemble roofs pier side. 10. Roof covering shall be a white translucent PVC fabric that is flame retardant. The fabric shall meet NAFPA 701 flame retardation requirements. 11. Roof covering shall be capable of being removed from the individual roof bays to open up the area below the roof for access to outside cranes. The cover shall be easily removed from a single bay, leaving all other areas of the roof covered. Roof covering shall be capable of being removed by hand. Descriptive literature clearly demonstrating that all specifications are met (and that roofing is compatible with Excel Brand modular staging) must be provided for any brand name other than Haki Ltd. Literature must be provided WITH the quote, before the closing date and time. To be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, ME 03904. FOB Destination. Rental period to be 9/29/06 ? 3/30/07. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N00189-06-Q-PF14 is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-12. The NAICS code is 532490 and the small business size standard is $6.5 million. This is not a Small Business Set-Aside. The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, apply to this acquisition. Offerors are requested to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 and 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with quotes. Award shall be made to the responsive, responsible offeror quoting the lowest overall evaluated price.
