Description
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region announces an opportunity for the Installation / Retrofit of Radiation Portal Monitors. The estimated construction cost ranges is between $25,000 and $100,000. This is a negotiated procurement open to all business concerns. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 238210 with a small business size standard of $13.0 million. Although this procurement is not set aside for small business, small businesses including woman-owned, minority-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, small disadvantaged businesses and service disabled veteran-owned business are strongly encouraged to participate in this project. The Radiation Portal Monitor Project is in the process of deploying radiation detection systems at land border crossings. A radiation portal monitor (RPM) system consists of radiation detector panels mounted in steel-support stands and associated electronics. Cargo RPM systems will be installed in two privately owned vehicle (POV) lanes at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Blue Water Bridge, Port Huron, Michigan. The solicitation and drawings will only be available electronically via Federal Technical Data System (FedTeds) to all interested parties. Those interested may gain access to FedTeds by first registering with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov (you must have a valid Duns number issued by Dun & Bradstreet to register). Contractors will obtain a CCR Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) and CAGE Code after registering successfully. After registration in CCR, please visit the FedTeds website at http://www.fedteds.gov, click on the Register with FedTeds hyperlink, click on the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink towards the bottom of the page. There, contractors are required to enter the MPIN and CAGE code or Duns number to receive a username and password for FedTeds. Vendors should register as soon as possible to avoid technical problems. Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring the website for possible amendments and/or additional information.
