- This is a Total Small Business Set Aside requirement for the overhaul of C-130 Mechanical Housing, Volute. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the C-130 Mechanical Housing. A firm fixed price requirement type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be 18 months. The items and quantities are at follows: Item 0001: Overhaul NSN: 1650-00-673-3382, P/N: 20245-2, Max Qty: 204, Min Qty: 23 units. Item 0002: Over and Above Work; Item 0003: Data IAW DD1423 and Appendix B. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment(s): on or before 15 each per month after receipt of order and reparables. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS APPLY. For qualification information/source approval requests contact Source Development Office, OC-ALC/BC (405) 739-7243. Award will be based on meeting our requirements and cannot be delayed pending qualifications of additional sources. APPROVED SOURCES are: Fairchild Controls, Cage Code 01359, and Repair Tech International, Cage Code 3U531. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 07 June 2006. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
