- Description
- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Mt. Weather (Bluemont), VA intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Group 1 Software, Lanham, MD for a one year maintenance agreement for COTS Address Correction, Geocoding & Spatial Client Server software package. FEMA intends on issuing a purchase order to Group 1 Software utilizing Simplified Acquisition/Commercial Items/Services procedures. The vendor will be required to provide the following necessary product modifications to allow the existing software to: (1) Migrate from Windows 2000 compatibility to Linux – Redhat, (2) Consolidate all production software from the existing three node configuration to a single facility, and (3) Upgrade the capacity of the existing core memory storage units. FEMA requires the product “Geostan with Address Broker,” Spatial+ with Address Broker, and GDL with Address Broker. FEMA also requires standard support to include software updates as required. Interested parties may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required software modifications, to include descriptive literature, capability statement, and pricing. Responses shall be sent via email to JoanH.Johnson@dhs.gov and must be received no later than 11:00 AM/EST on August 14, 2006. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a small business set-aside requirement, however, this notice also serves as a market research for possible small businesses who can provide the required services.
