SUBJECT: MODEL SPJ-216-X4RT10 PULSE JET FABRIC DUST COLLECTOR DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy???s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Science Dust Collectors, Alsip, IL to purchase the following items (to be deliver to our site in Albany, OR): 1. Science Dust Collectors Model SPJ-216-X4RT10 Pulse Jet Fabric Dust Collector ??? 1 each. 2. Full set of Ryton Singed Fabric type bags (qty 216 ??? 10 ft long ??? 1 each. 3. Enclosed Ladder ??? 1 each. 4. Slide Gates 11-1/4??? x 11-1/4??? ??? 2 each. 5. Drum adapters for 55 gal drum ??? 2 each. 6. High temperature option ??? 1 each. 7. High temperature Epoxy paint and sandblast inside and outside ??? 1 each. 8. Extra set of Tyton ??? 8??? long bags ??? 1 each. This purchase order is being issued to Science Dust Collectors because the NETL Albany site has a number of continuous and non-continuous cleaning bag houses on center. Scientific Dust Collectors has supplied all of the recent continuous cleaning bag houses for the center. Significant amounts of funding can be saved by standardizing on one brand of continuous cleaning bag houses. This would allow for the stocking and purchasing of only one set of spares for these systems and would save in ease of maintenance though less training and familiarization with the use of only one set of equipment. No other vendor makes compatible systems that whose spare parts and components would interchange with the proposed system. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by this agency. All interested firms must respond to DE-RQ26-06NT00842. Offerors shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Therefore, no solicitation will result with this announcement. This award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) is 238220. Request for information should be addressed to Mr. Robert L. Mohn, FAX 412-386-5770. The Technical Representative for the above requirement is Mr. Paul Turner 541-967-5863. All bids, proposals, or quotations must be submitted by 5:00 PM Eastern Time, September 15, 2006.
