Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) needs to procure an ultrasound machine. This machine must be a LOGIQ S6 or equivalent. The machine should have a flat panel monitor with features that include: raw data for post-processing (gain, measurements, annotations, etc.) of images; image quality through exclusive ?codes? for better resolution at depth; spatial compounding, automatic optimization (B-mode, Doppler and color), Virtual Convex, coded excitation, PFD, stand-by mode and ergonomics. Other options should include real time 4D (including volume contrast imaging, VOCAL, speckle reduction imaging in high definition, B-flow, LOGIQView, advanced 3D (with multi-planar displays), coded contrast imaging, reportwriter, DICOM, digital printers, and scanning modes: B-mode, M-mode, color flow, pulsed wave, continuous wave, power Doppler, B-flow. The system should have a 17 inch color flat panel monitor that can fold down for transport, 10.4 inch color LCD, three active transducer ports, 128 MB cine memory, 80 GB internal hard drive, DVD-R image archive, user footrest, integrated on-board peripheral bay and user programmable preset parameters. The system should have comprehensive software, annotation, calculations, and worksheets supporting obstetrical, gynecological, vascular and general imaging applications. A one-year warranty, on-site training and iLinq capability is also requested. The ultrasound machine should come with a 10L 4-10 MHz Linear Array Transducer with a 39mm FOV and a 45 x 10mm footprint. Preferred applications: peripheral vascular, small parts and neonatal and biopsy kit. The machine should include a SRI-HD that reduces speckle inherent in ultrasound machines. M12L 5-13 MHz Matrix Array Linear Transducer with a braod spectrum 4.7-13.0 MHz Active Matrix Array transducer with a 39 mmFOV and a 45x10mm footprint. Preferred applications are: small parts, peripheral vascular and neonatal. This feature should include a live split screen and compatibility with harmonics, color and CrossXBeam and works on all probes in all applications. A DICOM software package that provides the following functionality: print, store, multiframe, modality worklist, verify, MPPS (modified performed procedure step) storage commitment, media exchange, and query/retrieve and structured reporting should be included. A digital thermal printer for on board integrated mounting into the console with hardware/mounting kit and accessories that uses E8310KD paper should be included. Also needed are a DVD video recorder that is compatible with DVD-RAM and DVD-R and powercom 2 KVA uninterrupted power supply for AW, ultrasound and nuclear medicine, an ECG kit, ECG cable, and an intensive technology course for 2 technicians that helps customers realize the full potential of the technology investment. All vendors that can provide the Government with the items listed above may request a copy of the Request for Quote (RFQ) in writing or by FAX to 301-480-8502 to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that the RFQ NIH-NIDDK-06-1046 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 26, 2006. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institutes of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 775, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: Patricia Haun. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative.
