Description
This announcement is a Market Survey/Request for Information. This announcement is NOT a Screening Information Request (SIR) or a Request for Offer (RFO) of any Kind. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. All interest parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this Market Survey/Request for Information. Therefore, any costs associated with Market Survey/Request for Information submissions will be solely at the interested party's expense. The purpose of this Market Survey/Request for Information is to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace, obtain information on available resources, and gain insight into industry capabilities. CONTRACTOR SHALL: 1. Provide General Unicom Services to aircraft arriving and departing Pago Pago International Airport. 2. General Unicom Services will consist of communicating with incoming/outgoing flights by radio the runway in use, wind direction and velocity, local altimeter setting, and weather conditions when requested by pilot. No Air Traffic Control duties will be performed, on advisory services in nature. 3. Hours of operation: 6:00 A.M. until 9:30 P.M. local time, seven days per week. Normal staffing will be one person per shift. 4. Must be able to read and understand weather sequences taken by National Weather Service and relayed to pilots by radio upon request. 5. Must be trained in General Unicom Services. 6. Will be working in American Samoa-owned building on airport property with electronics equipment maintained by FAA. 7. Record on a daily log furnished by FAA the arrival and departure times of each flight at Pago Pago International Airport. Submit logs to FAA Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) on a monthly basis. All responses should be sent electronically to the following email address: bj.fisher@faa.gov.
