Description

This solicitation is solicited as a Full and Open competitive procurement utilizing best value criteria. The item to procure is a M240B Machine Gun, NSN: 1005-01-412-3129, P/N 12976814. The proposed contract will be a two-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract. Requirements are Guaranteed Minimum Quantity of 2,861. FOB Origin. Estimated issue date is on or about 15 September 2006. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet. Vendors, who need this TDP in order to prepare a proposal, must sign the non-disclosure and non-use agreement, which will be included as an attachment to the solicitation. Signed copies of the non-disclosure and non-use agreement must be co mpleted and submitted to the fax number provided on the agreement before a TDP will be mailed. Any said requests should contain the following information: CAGE Code, company name, point of contact, street address, city, state, zip code, and telephone num ber. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the Internet and the non-disclosure and non-use agreement has been executed. A License Agreement between FN Herstal and the USG requires the items procured to be manuf actured exclusively in the US and Canada. The successful offeror under this solicitation agrees to manufacture the items, being procured under this contract, exclusively within the US and Canada. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accorda nce with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm . CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically a will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is, therefore, incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
