Description
CRITICAL CHARACTERISTICS CLAUSE TRAINING The new critical characteristics clause (located at URL https://qa.pica.army.mil/QAW/qaw_p/safety_policy.htm) is being incorporated on several ammunition solicitations on a pilot application basis. The solicitations are W15QKN-06-R-0630 for the 105MM M467 A1 Cartridge, and W15QKN-06-R-0324 for the 60MM/81MM Projectiles. In conjunction with this pilot application, training on the new clause is being planned. The training is designed specifically for ammunition suppliers with the target audience being Quality Assurance Professionals. The training will take place on 19 and 20 September at the U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, IL. Preference for this training session will first be given to the prospective bidders of the above identified solicitations. Bidders are encouraged to include their planned vendors w ho may be the recipient of critical characteristic flow down requirements. Additional spaces will be available to munitions contractors on a first come first serve basis up to a maximum of 25 participants. Additional training sessions are being planned a nd will be announced and scheduled in conjunction with incorporation of the clause in future solicitations. Further details on the exact time and location will be provided to the selected attendees at a later date. The training to be provided is anticipated to take approximately 1 and ? days.
