Description
SOURCES SOUGHT. This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources such as 8(a), HUBZone, small disadvantaged, service disabled veteran owned business and small business rel ative to North American Industrial Classification System code 541330, which has a size standard $4.5 million in average annual receipts. Responses will be used to determine appropriate acquisition decisions. The work will require cost engineering and cos t estimating services to support the development of various projects within or assigned to the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division and work for others through the Department of Energy (DOE). Requirements for this work will include highly technical and s pecialized training and experience in environmental cost estimating disciplines for the preparation of cost estimates and project schedules for the construction and operations of multi-million dollar facilities. There will be a requirement for capacity to field teams of 15-20 highly trained individuals in multi-disciplines to perform reviews within a 3 to 6 month time frame at multiple sites and team members shall be fully trained in various cost estimating and scheduling programs. Team members are also r equired to have senior level experience in the environmental and construction engineering field and be licensed engineers with a certification in engineering and scheduling. Also, team members shall be classified as certified cost engineers and have activ e Department of Energy clearances to work on their project sites. The firm shall also have the capacity to field three to five teams consisting of 10 to 20 individuals in any given time frame to accomplish and achieve the customer contractual commitments a nd schedule deadlines. The firm performing the work will be required to have senior level management that has the capability to manage multiple tasks/projects within any given time frame. Individuals shall be trained in MCASES, MII, Primavera Scheduling S oftware, Microsoft Professional, Microsoft Access and Acrobat Reader-Writer for the publication of documents and cost estimates. Responses to this sources sought announcement must include the type of business such as 8(a), HUBZone, etc. Contractors are hereby encouraged to make known their interest in this type of work.
