Description

The Vicksburg District Corps of Engineers proposes to issue a sole source award to YSI Environmental/Gulf Coast, 12231 Industriplex Blvd., Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. Multi-parameter in situ water quality data sonde systems and YSI compatible op tical oxygen sensors are required to replace and upgrade aging sondes. The systems should be able to collect simultaneous water quality data including water temperature, dissolved oxygen (optical sensor), conductivity, turbidity (optical sensor), and pH a nd should be configured with wipers to clean probe surfaces in order to extend the length of deployment. The following parts are YSI Environmental: (a) 6920v2-01 (8) Multi-Parameter Water Quality Logger (OR EQUIVALENT); (b) 606150 (8) ROX Optical Oxy gen Sensor (OR EQUIVALENT); (c) 606136 (8) Turbidity Probe (OR EQUIVALENT); (d) 006561 (8) pH Field Replaceable Probe Kit (OR EQUIVALENT); (e) 606150 (3) 6150 ROX Optical Oxygen Sensor (MUST BE YSI COMPATIBLE); (f) (2) Non-YSI equipment quote must include quote for 2 hand held data loggers with barometer and 1.5 MB memory or greater to program and collect field data; (g) (2) Non-YSI equipment quote must include 2 50-ft field cables to transmit data to collection device. Cables must be water proof and capa ble of supporting the data sonde weight for extended deployment; (h) (2) Non-YSI equipment quote must include 2 50-ft field cables to transmit data to collection device. Cables must be water proof and capable of supporting the data sonde weight for extend ed deployment. A firm-fixed price award will be made utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any other responsible source able to provide the sonde systems are encouraged to respond to this announcement within 5 days after its publication. This is not a request for quotations and there is no solicitation available at this time.
