- NAICS Code: 334516 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION. QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is RFQ-RT-06-00281 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. The associated North Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334516 and the size business size standard is 500 employees. Full and open competition procedures will be utilized. A firm, fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. This procurement is for the acquisition of a Automated Solid Phase Extraction Unit. Required Specifications: 1) automated solid phase extraction unit; 2) positive pressure elution; 3) ability to accommodate 1, 3 or 6 ml standard solid phase extraction tubes; 4) sample capacity > 75; 5) batch and sequential operation capability ; 6) fractionation capability up to 5 fractions per cartridge for 3 ml SP tube; 7) precision <1% CV for 10 microliters; 8) flow rate 0.01 to 120 mL/min; 9) injection volume 0.5 micoliters to 1 5 ml; 10) liquid contact materials must be stainless steel, titanium, FEP, PTFE, PEEK, PP or PE; 11) sample preparation capability to include conditioning, loading, washing, eluting, SP tube drying, internal standard addition, derivatization, dilution, and mixing; 12) syringe capacity from 100 microliters to 25 ml; 13) temperature control from 4 to 40C; 14) Delivered fob destination to Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, 27703. The Government intends to award a single order to lowest price quote that meet all Government specification . Quotations must include sufficient material (such as narrative technical specifications, drawings, photos, brochures, demo disks, videos, etc.) to permit the government to determine that the proposed instrument will meet the required specifications. Any specific variances from specification shall be addressed by the vendor with respect to how the vendor's proposal provides alternative equivalence. The Government reserves the right to require additional pricing information if necessary to determine that the proposed price is reasonable. The following FAR provisions shall apply to this solicitation: 52-212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. All offerors are to include with their offer a completed copy of provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items. The following FAR clause applies to this acquisition: 52.212-4, Contract Terms and -0Conditions--Commercial Items.
