Description
Contractor shall be the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for all water systems identified in section 1. The Operator in Responsible Charge shall have a minimum level D water treatment license and level 1 distribution license valid for the duration of the contract in the state of Colorado. Contractor and/or his employees shall perform the duties of Water Treatment Plant Operator for the water treatment systems. Contractor shall check each water plant as needed for proper operation but not less than once weekly during operational season. Contractor will be responsible for the overall operations of the water systems listed in section 1 above. Contractor will attempt to, within the water systems ability to do so, insure that water supplied by the Pike San Isabel Cimarron Comanche (PSICC) meets all local, state and federal water quality requirements, including Forest Service regulations. Contractor will monitor the water treatment facilities to insure proper operation. Contractor will monitor, and within Contractors abilities and state and local laws maintain and be involved in the collection and treatment of water within the systems. Contractor will report directly to the PSICC providing monthly operations status reports and technical advice / proposals on system maintenance or upgrades. Contractor will provide clear, accurate and thorough documentation of all system testing, observations, and maintenance to the systems. General: 1. Contractor will identify repair/replacement parts and tools to the PSICC required for system operation. The PSICC will procure identified parts and tools and provide them to the Contractor in a timely manner when not constrained by budget/contract limitations. Contractor will maintain repair/replacement parts and tools inventory. Contractor will identify to the PSICC the locations where the items are stored. 2. Contractor will advise the PSICC of the need for water system improvements. 3. At the option of the PSICC, Contractor will work closely with the Forest Service Engineering Consultant(s) on water projects as outlined in a separate contract between the Contractor and the PSICC for each improvement project.
