- OFFADD: 42 CONS/LGCA 50 LeMay Plaza South Montgomery, AL 36112 SUBJECT: Mass Notification/Giant Voice System with Installation DUE: 12 SEPTEMBER 2006 POC: TSgt Chad Hankins, Contract Specialist, Phone: (334) 953-3522; Fax (334) 953-3527 DESC: The Communication Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL is requesting information for a Mass Notification/Giant Voice System. This is a Request for Information (RFI) ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal (or solicitation) or an indication a contractual commitment will exist for this requirement. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS RFI OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The purpose of this market research (Source Sought Synopsis) is to determine if a Mass Notification/Giant Voice System with Installation is commercially available by a company that can provide ALL NOT SOME of the equipment, installation, labor and support. The Mass Notification/Giant Voice System with Installation sought will have the following specifications: Provide a turn-key outdoor Mass Notification/Giant Voice system with poles (approximately 45ft) for personnel alerting across three different recreation areas (Lake Jordan, Lake Martin, and Mid-Bay Shores) surrounding Maxwell AFB. The system will provide alarm tones, pre-recorded messaging, and live voice broadcasts. Examples include but are not limited to Force Protection Conditions, watches, warnings, evacuation routes, and other alerting information to meet Federal, DoD, Air Force, and Base specific warning and notification requirements. Provide two (2) siren arrays at three different Maxwell off-base recreation areas for a total of six (6) siren arrays with the ability for each individual recreation area to activate their two specific siren arrays by providing one (1) Communications Control Unit (CCU) only at each location for a total of three (3) CCUs. Provide ability to activate the system (two siren array configuration) from only one location only using the CCU, no computer or software is required, nor is the ability to activate TAS and NAS required. Must be able to connect to the system wirelessly. Firms responding to this RFI are asked to provide the following information in their initial response: company?s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the item the government is seeking.. Final responses to this RFI will be due by 1600 hours (4pm), central standard time (CST), on 12 SEPTEMBER 2006. Responses will be reviewed and may result in further clarifications to further explore commercial capabilities with selected respondents. As industry may expect to see portions of submitted information in future solicitations, portions of the response containing proprietary information should be clearly marked as such. Information submitted will not be returned to the respective respondents. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable and will not be accepted in response to this notice.
