Description

The U. S. Geological Survey, WRD, Madison, WI intends to make award on a sole source basis, to Tekran Instruments, Corp, Toronto CA to purchase analyzers for air sampling. The Tekran analyzers have been established as the benchmark analyzers for air sampling. The WWSC Mercury Laboratory personnel have been using Tekran analyzers for 10 years and are satisfied with their capabilities. The WWSC has determined that after considering alternative sources that that the intensive validation process to determine the viability would be prohibitive. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. This award will be made on or about September 6, 2006 under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $100,000.00. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No additional synopsis will be published.
