Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. NO FORMAL SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR ABOUT SEPTEMBER 21, 2006. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a sole source non-competitive procurement to GeoLeaders, LLC, Lake Ridge, VA, for development, implementation and support of operational National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) framework data services. This non-competitive procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and a result of an unsolicited proposal. GeoLeaders possesses unique and innovative concepts, proprietary knowledge and license rights of the underlying commercial software and database systems (CubeSTOR and CubeSERV WFS) upon which the services and software shall be provided and developed. The period of performance is 12 months from date of contract award with options for 2 additional years. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 423430. No additional synopsis will be published. This acquisition is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12.2 and FAR Part 13.5.
