- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is soliciting proposals for a single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract to provide logistics and support to facilitate the strengthening of international public health capacity through field-based training and service programs with CDC. The Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP) is a program designed with the technical assistance of CDC to build and strengthen the epidemiology and public health surveillance capacity of the Pakistani Ministry of Health through the development and placement of a cadre of competent field epidemiologists’ at all administrative levels. The development of the program is funded by the USAID mission in Pakistan. The purpose of this contract is to provide local logistical support services for the coordination and implementation of the program. The contractor, as an independent organization and not as an agent of the Government, shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, facilities, office furniture, and office equipment (except as furnished by the Government), transportation and travel required to provide logistical support services to the FELTP. Services to be performed include but are not limited to: 1) staff and operate a local office in support of the FELTP (the physical office shall be provided by the Pakistani Ministry of Health); 2) organize and facilitate training courses, conferences/workshops, and seminars; 3) purchase office furniture and office equipment as required; 4) handle all travel arrangements for local and out of country travel for FELTP officers, project consultants, and project participants; and 5) Prepare all project and financial reports for review and submission by the Resident Advisor and CDC Team based in Atlanta. It is preferred that the contractor have a current physical office located in Pakistan. This procurement is full and open competition. The period of performance will be one year from date of award with two option years. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) code is 541611. Request for Proposal (RFP) 2006-N-08431 will be posted online at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about April 07, 2006.
