Description
AG-0261-S-06-0041, ROARING RIVER CULVERT REPLACEMENT, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS. The work shall consist of removing and disposing of an existing 13 foot x 15 foot x 84 foot, corrugated metal pipe culvert (squash type); clearing and grubbing within construction limits; constructing a stream diversion, dewatering, and sediment control plan; structure excavation; constructing structural concrete footings and stem walls, designing, furnishing, and installing steel structural pipe-arch, 36 ft. - 2 inch span, 10 ft.-9 inch rise, 8 gage thickness; placing streambed simulation rock material; backfill; aggregate surfacing; road template reconstruction; waste material disposal; providing and installing construction signs; applying seed mix and mulch; and clean-up. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies and shall perform all work required to complete the project as shown on the plans, shown on the manufacturer’s shop drawings, and as described in the Standard Specifications (FP-03) and Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS). The project is located in Township 4N, Range 8E, Section 2 NW ¼ of NE ¼ Boise Meridian, Elmore County, Idaho. The project site can be reached by taking State Highway 21 approximately 12 miles from Boise, Idaho to the junction with National Forest System Road (NFSR) 268. Take NFSR 268 northeast approximately 44 miles along the Middle Fork Boise River to the junction of NFRS 255. Take NFSR 255 for 5.5 miles to the stream crossing. From Boise, total distance is about 12 miles on pavement and about 50 miles on gravel and dirt roads. Estimated start date is 08/15/06 with 426 calendar days for completion.
