- X--Annual Meeting Exhibit Booth Space -- The U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with American Meteorological Society, 45 Beacon Street, Boston, MA 02108, using the simplified acquisition procedures for the 87th American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, as defined in the attached Statement of Work: STATEMENT OF WORK I. PURPOSE The purpose of this procurement is acquiring exhibit booth space for the 87th American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, January 14-18, 2007. II. ELEMENTS OF WORK The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration have reserved a 40? x 40? exhibit booth space for the 87th American Meteorological Society Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, January 14-18, 2007. The exhibit space will be used to showcase NOAA products and services at this event. The exhibit space will also be used to conduct press interviews and will be used to kickoff NOAA?s 200th Anniversary celebration. III. DETAILED DESCRIPTION Exhibit Booth #425 has been reserved by NOAA for this annual convention. The 40? x 40? space is in an island configuration and will be outfitted with NOAA exhibits and product displays. IV. TIME FRAME The 87th AMS annual meeting will be held January 14-18, 2007. V. CONTRACTOR The Contractor shall serves as the general contractor for this event. The event shall be held at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. VI. PAYMENT Invoices will be submitted to the Technical Point of Contact for the reservation of booth #425. This requirement is being advertised under Other Than Full and Open Competition by the authority of the FAR Subpart 6.302-1, citing U.S.C. 2304?(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253 ?91), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services shall satisfy the agency requirements. The National Industry Classification systems (NAICS) code is 813920, and the size standard is $4.0M. No Solicitation shall be issued. However, the Offeror?s who believe they can meet this requirement are required to submit in writing an affirmative response. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit such documentation shall result in the Government proceeding as stated above. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Proposal submissions must be submitted to the following contact person in acquisitions.
