Description

Notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Relm Communications, 7100 Technology Drive, W. Melbourne, FL 32904. Relm Communications will provide four (4) Relm DPH IS rated portable radios with necessary accessories. Under authority of FAR 6.302-1(c), the value of the contract is expected to be under $500,000. The National Park Service has a need for additional FM radios and accessories for Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska (GLBA). The NPS currently uses Relm radios and its encrypted software to communicate with its Rangers, other Park Service Personnel and the Base Station located in the GLBA HQ. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract award will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. These supply items will be procured under Firm Fixed Price Supplies in accordance with FAR 12 procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Relm Communications will provide four (4) Relm DPH IS rated portable radios with antenna and batteries; four (4) LZA0577AES/DES Encryption; four (4) LAA0558 Intrinsically Safe; four (4) LAA0193 IS batteries; four (4) LFW0036 3-YEAR Extended Warranties; four (4) LAA0325 Rapid Chargers; four (4) LAA0450 Black nylon radio holsters; and four (4) LAA 0199 Speaker microphones.
