- This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs VA Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with The Bernard Hodes Group to provide VISN 6 Nursing Service with a Fair to recruit RNs and LPNs. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 541810 $6.0M. The Nursing Service is currently trying to recruit RNs and LPNs to meet the Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD) levels set for each unit in the Medical Center. The agency will advertise and promote the attributes of working for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Agency will be responsible for printing of 12,500 postcards, mailing services processing, postage list management development, creation of a creative campaign photo shoot and production promotional posters for the medical Center and local Nursing Schools; also, decorations, candies, takeaways media promotion, etc. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
