Description

VA VISN 22 Network Logistics Office intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Becton Dickinson Immunocytochemistry Systems under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-12. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to affect FACSCaliber system component software upgrades and obtain interface equipment and software that enables Becton Dickinson proprietary Flow Cytometry equipment/software to communicate directly with VISTA, the VA's electronic patient record system. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed price contract for one year for continuous delivery of the aforementioned program at the Greater Los Angeles VA Regional Healthcare System, Los Angeles CA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 3:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, September 8 12, 2006, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
