Description
The 303d Aeronautical Systems Group, Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Aeronautical Systems Center, anticipates the award of unmanned aircraft system engine enhancements contract. Requirements for this procurement expect to include, but are not limited to, sustainment of commonality with commercial item line and potential performance improvements. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement action is 336412. Please indicate the number of employees relative to the size standard of 1000 for determination of small business status. The Air Force's expected initial contract award value is expected to be no more than $4.5M in FY06. Additional funding is possible in future years. The Government expects to release the solicitation for this requirement, as needed, on a Sole Source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source being Rolls Royce Corp., located at 2001 S Tibbs Ave, Indianapolis, IN, 46268 CAGE Code 1E0F1. Subcontracting possibilities may exist. For subcontracting opportunities, interested parties may submit appropriate information to Richard W. Lovell, at (317) 230-4343 or richard.w.lovell@rolls-royce.com. The proposed effort involves work classified at the SECRET level with potential to go higher. Interested firms must possess capabilities to meet the following criteria: - ability to manufacture, integrate and test the current Global Hawk Engine, - own or obtain the data rights associated with the performance of this work for the commercial product, - demonstrate efficient subcontractor and vendor product acquisition management including working with other Government agencies, - possess experience in interacting with Government acquisition program offices, - ability to obtain a U.S. SECRET level security clearance - provide a secure facility for the development and production of all Global Hawk Engine components including Automated Information Systems. Global Hawk is an Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) program.
