Description

This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Parts 12 and 13). Funds are not currently available for this requirement. If funds become available, an award will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible offeror without discussions. The offer/proposal acceptance period shall be through 30 Sep 06. THIS IS A SYNOPSIS AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. VENDORS SHOULD NOT SUBMIT FORMAL PROPOSALS UNTIL THE RFP IS POSTED TO THIS WEBSITE. 45 CONS/LGCB has a BRAND NAME requirement for the Eotech Holographic Sight 552 AA style, Eotech Item #: 552, (18 each) and the Trijicon TA31 DOC BAC 223 ACOG 4 x 32 scope with doctor optics red dot sight on top of ACOG LED, Eotech item #: TA31DOC, (20 each). The requested delivery to Patrick AFB, Florida will be approximately thirty (30) days after receipt of an award. The government intends to make a single award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. This proposed procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. Solicitation No. FA2521-06-T-0398 is issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a Standard Industrial Code (SIC) of 3827, business size of 500 employees and a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 333314. GSA Schedule holders for this item/service are encouraged to provide us with their GSA Schedule number. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 11 September 2006 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals may be submitted via hard copy, fax (321-494-5136), or e-mail.
