Description

Operational Contracting has a requirement for desktop-sized, explosives detection equipment. The units must be Thermo EGIS Defenders, manufactured by Thermo Electron Corporation, or their equivalent. It is expected a 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal acquisition will be conducted. This is not a request for proposal or an invitation for bid and is not to be construed as a commitment to award one or more resulting contracts. If your firm has the capability of providing desktop sized, explosives detection equipment that has been endorsed by the Air Force Force Protection Battle Lab or the Navy Explosives Detection Equipment Center, reply to this Request for Information and indicate your firm type ie large or small business and the specific set aside you would request. Indicate the salient physical, functional or important performance characteristic of your potential offering. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly.
