Description

This is a sole source notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Capital District Contracting Center (CDCC) intends to neg otiate on a sole source basis with Comcast Cablevision of Virginia under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to provide cable and troubleshooting maintenance service for DeWitt Army Community Hospital located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This notice is not a reque st for quotations. Comcast is the only known contractor with the proprietary rights to provide the Comcast Basic Cable Services. This notice will be displayed until 4:00 PM EST September 8, 2006. A determination not to compete this proposed purchase ord er based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 517510.
