Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region intends to issue an Invitation for Bid for a firm-fixed price construction contract for Transformer Replacement at the Nimbus Power Plant approximately 15 miles east of Sacramento, California in Sacramento County. Principal features of the work include: furnish and install one (1) new three-phase, 2-winding power transformer; furnish and install new 1/C 8-kV EPR power cable; and remove and dispose existing three-phase, 2-winding power transformer, 1/C 7.5-kV lead-covered, varnished cambric power cable, and transite conduit. All work required to be performed and completed within 430 calendar days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard in millions of dollars is $27.5. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is anticipated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement will require 100% performance and payment bonds. It is anticipated that the Invitation for Bid (IFB) and the specifications will be ready for release on or about September 5, 2006.
