Description

The National Park Service anticipates issuing a Prospectus for the operation of guided horseback rides at Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. The Prospectus is expected to be released during the "off" season, when the trails related to the opportunity may be difficult to access due to snowfall. Site visits will be available by appointment until October 1, 2006. Because only a portion of the business is within Grand Teton National Park boundaries, this prospectus will only authorize use of specified trails within the park. Interested parties must contact Dave Rhinehart at 307-739-3414 or by email at Dave_Rhinehart@nps.gov or Mallory Smith at 307-739-3434 or by e-mail at Mallory_Smith@nps.gov by the close of business on September 25, 2006. A site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but is encouraged. No questions specific to the Prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the Prospectus will be answered after the Prospectus is issued. The site visit will view existing concession trails and address questions about the existing Concession Contract. The guided horseback rides generally operate from mid May to late September. The annual gross receipts for the in-park portion of this Concession Contract averaged $83,502 from 2002 to 2005.
