Description
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Contracts Management Office (DARPA/CMO) intends to award a sole source contract to Mustang Technology Group, LP, 400 W. Bethany Drive, Suite 110, Allen, TX 75013-3714 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for follow-on effort related to Phase 1 of the CROSSHAIRS Program. The objective of this effort will be to develop and demonstrate a complete CROSSHAIRS system comprised of a vehicle mounted sensor system and threat response capability, as well as to procure prototype systems for user testing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and a written solicitation will not be issued. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Mustang Technology Group was the only CROSSHAIRS Phase I performer whose sensor system met Phase I performance requirements, the sole requirement for proceeding to follow-on program phases. There were six (6) Phase I performers selected via a full and open competition. Phase I culminated in a live fire demonstration of all Phase I sensor systems and only Mustang Technology Group's sensor performed successfully. Questions should be directed to Mr. Christopher Glista, Contracting Officer, DARPA/CMO, 3701 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203-1714, Email: christopher.glista@darpa.mil. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
