Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate a modification to contract SS00-05-60056 with Capitol Technology Services, 3703 Benning Road, NE, Washington DC 20019 to increase the scope of the contract for Cable Services at the SSA Main Campus in Baltimore, MD by increasing the estimated quantity of line item A-2(b) for the cable engineer labor category by 225 hours, from 1040 hours to 1265 hours, and increasing the estimated quantity of line item A-2(b) for the cable splicer labor category by 450 hours, from 2080 hours to 2530 hours. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by September 12, 2006 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
