- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Firm fixed pricing is requested. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-10. This posting is to inform potential providers that Dover Air Force Base, Delaware has a requirement for regular and oversized wooden air trays for casketed remains. Trays should be constructed of 1 inch x 4-inch pine frame with one-piece 3/8 inch plywood base, eight 2 inch wide soft seat belt strap handles. Air trays will include securing straps with removable buckles, casket bag, shipping labels and metal protective corners. This would be for same item or equal item. The two sizes and quantities of these air trays are: (1) 32 inches x 87 inches x 23 inches Quantity: 400 and (2) 38 inches x 92 inches x 23 inches Quantity: 20 The details of contract: Only small businesses are eligible for award. The North American Industry Classification system code is 339995. The business must have less than 500 employees to be considered small business. The provision in FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, is applicable to this solicitation.
