Crivellaro at (402) 294-7280 or e-mailed to charles.crivellaro@offutt.af.mil. 05 Sep 2006/ QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS QUESTION: Because the amount is predicated on the number of each test ordered, what figures are you looking for in the amount fields and is there a listing of the volume of each test? ANSWER: The government needs to have ALL the tests on the price list available. And there is no guessing on how many, because government never knows when they?ll be needed. Histology also has to be included. QUESTION: There are no volumes specified for any of the tests. Also the government has some tests listed that would require the provision of a pathologist and equipment on the hospitals site to actually perform, i.e. Frozen Section (two items) and or Consultation and Fine Needle Aspirate, Immediate Interpretation. And that these are procedures performed in a hospital requiring a pathologist to be in attendance. ANSWER: it is impossible for the government to quantify how many samples will be sent to a reference laboratory because the need for testing is based on several factors outside the control of the laboratory. For example, if one of our doctors needs a test results STAT and we routinely send it to a military reference laboratory we will send to a local reference laboratory instead for analysis. The government requires a cost for each test and utilize the services on an as needed basis NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-SEP-2006); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
