- The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), Microbial Biophysics and Residue Chemistry and Core Technologies Unit intends to negotiate solely with Varian Inc., in Palo Alto, CA to purchase a 1H-19F/15N-31P 5mm PFG Dual Broadband Probe (DBG400-5F) Part No. 0199004030. The Center requires the purchase of Dual Broadband probe for its Government-owned 400 MHz Varian NMR instrument. This probe (detector) will have a 5mm sample size, and will upgrade our capabilities, by enabling the observation and decoupling of high and low frequency broadband nuclei. The probe will be fully capable of performing indirect detection experiments and have Z-PFG capabilities. The inner coil must be tunable from 15N ? 31P for optimum low frequency sensitivity. The outer coil must be tunable from 1H to 19 F for optimum high frequency sensitivity. The probe of choice for single or double resonance studies of chemical samples. Optimized for very flexible high frequency (1H-19F) and low frequency (15N-31P) observe and decouple. Robust design for multi-operator, multi-sample environments. High performance actively shielded z-axis gradient produces rectangular gradient without ECC for best dephasing per unit time. Companies with the demonstrated capabilities of providing this instrument must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment=s component=s and availability. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address within 10 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
