Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to award a sole-source contract for an under-vehicle inspection system (w/software and maintenance) with Stratech Systems Inc., hereinafter referred to as Stratech, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1. Stratech is the exclusive manufacture of intelligent Vehicle Access Control System (iVACS)TM. This system possesses functional capabilities that incorporate foreign object detection software that can automatically identify any abnormalities, i.e., foreign objects, undercarriage modifications, etc, through comparing real-time under-carriage images to historical under-carriage images. Due to the critical nature of this requirement, this level of surveillance and inspection provided by this system is essential. This publication does not constitute a request for proposal (RFP); however, interested parties that feel that they are capable of fulfilling this requirement may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting those capabilities along with any relevant cost and pricing information within four (4) days of the publication of this notice. Any consequent determination to compete or revisit this effort based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please submit questions and/or responses to this notice within four (4) of this notice to bernard.salter@dhs.gov. The award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation.
