- The U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, MO, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 intends to make a sole source award to Opus Healthcare Solutions of Austin, TX. The procurement is for the maintenance service support for the Opus Healthcare Solutions Laboratory Information System (LIS) and software support located at the U.S. Medical Center for Federal Prisoners. The support to occur during normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. unless the emergency is a Priority 1 or 2. Period of performance is October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2007. To the best of our knowledge this company is the only company which can provide the needed service and software support. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of this published synopsis. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the government not to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the USMCFP, Springfield will proceed with the sole-source negotiated award to Opus Healthcare Solutions. Faith-Based and Community Based organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
