- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The purchase request number is F3M3CE6213A100 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) (iii) This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12. (iv) This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The associated NAICS code is 238220, and the small business size standard is $13,000,000. (v) This requirement consists of one line item: 0001) Replace cooling in telephone frame room, Bldg 708. Quantity: 1 Unit of Measure: Lot (vi) Replace 8-ton self-contained HVAC system IAW Statement of Work dated 22 June 2006. (vii) The performance period is 40 days including the delivery of materials. The contractor certifies that it can meet the delivery date by submitting a quotation. FOB shall be destination, Bldg 708 Pope AFB, North Carolina. Shipping costs should be included in the unit price. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this solicitation. (ix) The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The quotes will be evaluated on price and technical capability. STATEMENT OF WORK Location Bldg 708 computer frame room Date: 22 June 2006 Contracting POC: Kelly Hiser; 910-394-6304 W.O. # 91764 SCOPE: The purpose of this project is to replace the existing computer frame room HVAC system with the one listed below. 1-Contractor recover refrigerant from existing unit and turn over to CES HVAC shop. 2-Purchase and install a 8 ton self contained computer room HVAC system with Remote condenser, 208 volt 3phase, 14 kw humidifier,15 kw Reheat, down flow, mfg TRANE model DATA-AIR-DAAD-832- or equal. 3-The condenser will sit on the existing concrete slab, the self contained unit will sit in the same area as the existing unit occupies and connect to the existing Duct work. 4- The refrigerant and condensate lines will be in the same space as the existing ones 5-Furnish all wiring, disconnects and breakers necessary to bring electric power from the existing source to the new system. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship shall comply with all local and state computer room air condition codes that are common to the trade. contractor shall contact the POC when work is to begin and notify POC when work is complete. CLEAN- UP: The contractor is responsible for returning the work site and surrounding area to the condition in which they were found. The contractor is required to properly dispose of any discarded or unused material. WARRANTY: All workmanship will be warranted for one year, equipment normal factory warranty will apply. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The performance period for this project is 40 days including delivery of materials. NOTE: CONTRACTOR SHOULD VISIT JOB SITE BEFORE BIDDING.
