Description

SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT DESC: Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to BD Bioscience, 2350 Qume Drive, San Jose, CA 95131-1807 for the purchase of FACS Array Cel l Analysis Systems. Failure to purchase the FACS Array Systems would put the laboratory at a significant disadvantage because of FACS Array's ability for high throughput screening ability and the compact makeup of the system which is needed as a result of decreased lab size. This in not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of o ffers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government.
