Description

This synopsis provides notice of the Government's intent to solicit a proposal on a sole source basis with HGI Skydyne Inc., 100 River Road, Port Jervis, NY 12771-2931, for the items listed below. The contract type is anticipated to be a Firm Fixed Price commercial type contract. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 P/N 75048007 Case Composite Mod Per TRS DICP Generation 3 w/Foam Insert 9325003 F1S1 & S2 (17 each); CLIN 0002 P/N 75048321 Soft Clamp Assembly (17 each); to include shipping if any. The equipment required is composite cases with foam inserts to house and protect various communication equipment. As these cases are installed on boats, there are strict weight, size, and water resistance requirements that must be met. The cases must weigh no more than sixty-five (65) pounds, be no wider than seventeen (17) inches, no taller than twenty-seven (27) inches, no longer than thirty-four (34) inches, and must be water resistant. The cases must also be designed with the correct placement of the connector holes to ensure the accurate positioning of cables connections. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 HGI Skydyne, Inc. is the only known source capable of satisfying the Government?s minimum requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responsible interested parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 12 September 2006, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
