Description
AMENDMENT NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N6279362320001 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-09. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334119 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. This requirement is unrestricted and only interested offerors may submit a quote. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 16:00:00 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be Newport News, VA 23607 The USN NAVSEA SUPSHIP Newport News requires the following items, EXACT MATCH ONLY, to the following: LI 001, Printer Specs. Paper size: 8.5"X11" - 18X24".Print speed: 25 'B' size per minute. Resolution: 600x600 dpi, 300 lines per inch. Media Supply: 3 to 4 cut sheet cassettes and 1 bypass. Print Languages: Raster Data, Postscript level 3,PDF,CAD Data. Connectivity: Internal print server with high speed 10/100 Ethernet. Capable of receiving data drom windows based networks. Aperture Scanner Specs: Speed: 300 cards per hour @ 400 dpi.Media: Aperture cards: MIL,ISO,DIN,Silver, Diazo film. Resolution: 100-600 dpi, adjustable. In addition the scanner needs to be able to create digital image files from aperture card originals. Be able to hold up to 100 aperture cards in the batch feeder. Be able to process microfilm image data sized 8.5"X11" up to 36"X48". Minimum 1 year warranty. Price includes setup onsite installation and training. SEE SPECIAL LEASE/PURCHASE TERM, 1, EA; For this solicitation, USN NAVSEA SUPSHIP Newport News intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing quotes, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. USN NAVSEA SUPSHIP Newport News is taking this action in a an effort to improve vendor access and awareness of requests while expediting its ability to gather multiple, completed, real-time offers. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their offer using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. Upon completion of the evaluation, and a determination made to either purchase or lease, a Purchase Order will be issued for 1 Buy and the other Buy will be canceled.
