- The theme for this year???s 11th annual Naval NETWAR FORCEnet Enterprise and Industry Conference, formerly known as the SPAWAR Industry Conference, is Evolving the Network: Meeting the Warfighter???s Critical Information Needs. For a second consecutive year, the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence (PEO C4I) and the Naval Network Warfare Command (NETWARCOM) will join SPAWAR and NDIA, San Diego Chapter, in presenting the conference. Senior officials from these commands are invited to share their perspective on how the Navy Enterprise Triad will clearly define the roles and responsibilities of each in order to collectively enhance the delivery of network centric operations to the fleet and the Joint Warfighter. The conference has grown in importance and scope to become the major West Coast symposium for discussing joint C4I issues facing the warfighter. Invited speakers include Congressman Duncan Hunter; Vice Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Robert Willard, USN; Commander Third Fleet, Vice Admiral Barry Costello, USN; Commander Second Fleet, Vice Admiral Mark Fitzgerald; Commander Naval Air Forces, Vice Admiral James Zortman, USN; Program Executive Officer (Acting), Mr. Chris Miller, PEO C4I. Navy acquisition has reached a new era with the development and implementation of an Enterprise approach. The Naval NETWAR FORCEnet Enteprise (NNFE) is a collaborative effort that includes Commander of NETWARCOM as the requirements lead, OPNAV (N6F) as the resource sponsor and TEAM SPAWAR (including PEO C4I, PEO Space Systems and PEO Enterprise Information Systems) as the provider of capability. The conference concludes with a banquet Nov. 16 with the sixth annual Fleet Support Awards. The banquet will include a keynote speaker. The Naval NETWAR FORCEnet Enterprise and Industry Conference will provide a forum for discussion of acquisition strategies and upcoming business opportunities for both large and small businesses.
