- Description
- In support of U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility Yokosuka, Japan, detachment Sasebo, the Fleet Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound is soliciting for air conditioning technical repair services. The successful offeror shall provide materials, travel, and technical representative services necessary to repair the #5 air conditioning unit on U.S. Naval vessel LPD-10. The unit is model #90SMC191, 150 ton, screw type compressor. This acquisition is to be negotiated on a sole source basis with authorized repair representatives from the Carrier-Transicold Company Marine Division per FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations prior to offer due date, which will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this action based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is set-aside exclusively for small businesses under NAICS 238220 size standard $13 million. All repair services must be accomplished on-site in Sasebo, Japan no later than 10 September 2006. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by FISCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
