PARTIAL PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE UPON RECEIPT OF ITEMS. _ SECTION C PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT Remanufactured Laser Printer Toner Cartridges (With Exchange of Spent Cartridges Required) SCOPE AND CLASSIFICATION 1.1 Scope: This specification covers Remanufactured Laser Printer Toner Cartridges. This specification does not include all varieties of printer toner cartridges, which are commercially available, but is intended to cover only those generally used by the United States Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency (FSA) for Hewlett Packard (Models 4M, 4050N, 4100, and 4600) and Xerox Laser Printers, Model N2125. The remanufactured cartridges of the requirement shall be available with exchange of spent cartridges. Note: The contractor shall include a self-addressed prepaid freight return label in each remanufactured toner cartridge container supplied under this contract. 1.2 Classification: The Laser Printer Toner Cartridges covered in this specification shall be furnished in the types for use in the Hewlett Packard and Xerox Laser Printer engines. LASER PRINTER TONER CARTRIDGE—REMANUFACTURED 2.1 New Long Life Aftermarket Photoconductor Drums: For each initial order (first time the Laser Printer Toner Cartridge is exchanged) the contractor shall furnish a remanufactured cartridge with a new, long life, aftermarket, photoconductor drum installed. The average drum life for the new drum installations is listed below: Hewlett Packard 4M Part No. 92298A 6,800 Pages HP 4050N Part No. C42127A 10,000 Pages HP4100 Part No. C8061X 10,000 Pages HP 4600 1. Black- Part No. C9720A 9,000 Pages 2. Cyan - Part No. C9721A 8,000 Pages 3. Yellow - Part No. C9722A 8,000 Pages 4. Magenta - Part No. C9723A 8,000 Pages Prior to shipment, the contractor shall label each remanufactured cartridge with the following: 1) The name of the company that did the remanufacturing. 2) The date of the new photoconductor drum installation. a) The subsequent dates that the cartridge has been refurbished for use following the initial installation of the new drum. 2.2 Remanufacture: The remanufacturing of laser printer cartridges will include the following steps as applicable to the toner cartridge: 1) Disassemble the cartridge completely for thorough cleaning of all parts and replacement of any defective/unsatisfactory parts.
