Description
SPECIFICATIONS/ STATEMENT OF WORK Scope of work Work shall consist of providing janitorial services for the US Forest Service District Office, 242 Hwy 56 E, Elkhart, KS The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, disposition of trash, (except as otherwise specified under Government Furnished Property), to perform these services. Scheduled Cleaning Weekly: Shall be done one time a week on Saturday or Sunday. Cleaning hours on Saturday and/or Sunday may be at the Contractor's discretion. Quarterly: Shall be done in October, January, April and July. Semi-Annual: Shall be done in April and September No work shall be performed on Federal holidays Government - Furnished Property The Government will make available to the Contractor the following listed materials and supplies (hereinafter referred to a "Government-Furnished Property"), at the District Office, 242 Hwy 56 E., Elkhart, KS. The Contractor shall be liable for all loss or damage of such Government-furnished property until completion and final acceptance of work required under this contract. The Government-Furnished Property will include the following: 1. Toilet Paper 2. Paper Towels 3. Hand Soap 4. Trash bags 5. Light Bulbs It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to advise the Government when any of the above supplies need to be ordered. Contractor -Furnished Property All other equipment, supplies, and tools necessary to perform the work shall be furnished by the Contractor. Limited space is available in the Forest Service District Office for storage of contractor's supplies/equipment. Conduct The Contractor or his/her employees are prohibited from disturbing papers on desks, opening desk drawers or cabinets, or using telephones or office equipment. Food, beverages, radios and pets are prohibited. Contractor is prohibited from smoking in the building. The Contracting Officer may, in writing, require the Contractor to remove from the job any employee the Government deems incompetent, careless, or otherwise objectionable, or for theft, possession and/or removal of materials, supplies, equipment, or any other Government-owned property. Security The Contractor or his/her employees shall be informed as to what lights shall be turned off. The Contractor or his/her employees shall make sure all exterior doors are shut tight and locked. Technical Specifications 1. Weekly Cleaning shall include: a. empty all trash containers/wastebaskets b. clean and disinfect all bathroom fixtures including urinals, toilet bowls and seats, wash basins, and mirrors. c. fill all paper towel and toilet paper dispensers d. clean the drinking fountain e. vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean f. clean kitchen area, countertop, fixtures, sink refrigerator exterior. g. dust all tables, bookcases, windowsills in front offices and conference room, and filing cabinets, excluding personal desks. h. mop tile floor i. sweep/vacuum front foyer 2. Quarterly Cleaning shall include: a. dust all window venetian blinds b. wax tiled floor c. dust window sills in individual offices. Notify Dorothy Simmons when it will be done so items in front of windows can be moved to allow better access. 3. Semi-Annual Cleaning shall include: a. wash interior and exterior of all windows b. clean all wooden doors, door frames, baseboard trim and pictures on walls c. vacuum all upholstered chairs d. strip old wax off tiles floors
