Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, 96 CONS/MSCBB at Eglin AFB, Florida intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a Firm-Fixed Price, Sole Source contract to Optics in Motion, for the equipment listed below. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based up responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The announcement number is F1T0EB6209A200. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333314, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. Sole Source Justification: This item will be utilized as a spare for existing equipment, and must be identical in form, fit, and function to the in-service unit to preclude modifying mounting fixtures and driver software, as well as to minimize down time if the in-service unit were to fail. CLIN 0001, to include shipping, (1 EA) Mirror, Fast Steering Beryllium with the following specifications: 1. Clear Aperture, 3? 2. Mirror, beryllium substrate, with 1/4th wave wavefront quality and protected gold coating. 3. Minimum range of motion: (mechanical): +/- 7 degrees both axes 4. Frequency response: > 200 Hz both axes ( <3dB amplitude foll off @ 90 phase lag point). 5. Step response: (1mrad step): <5 msec 6. Angular resolution: < 2 urad 7. Linearity: 1% full scale or better 8. Control and feedback: +/- 10 V command/feedback over full range, both axes 9. Two-axis FSM 10. Analog controller consisting of a servo control board, mirror position sense, and voice coil driver board with a 40 foot mirror to controller cable 11. Design to survive high-dynamic/vibration environment of flight motion simulator 12. Power supply Final inspection and acceptance will be at Eglin AFB, FL 32542. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals. The quote format is at the discretion of the offeror.
