***SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS*** This is a notice of intent/sources sought for the 190th Mission Support Group Contracting Office, Forbes Field, Topeka, KS (NOT THE 184TH IN WICHITA, KS) for any small business vendor who has and can demonstrate capability of repairing/upgrading a McQuay Chiller unit model number ALS125BS27-ER10 without voiding the current factory warranty or result of loss in service of the unit. The required work is: CLIN 0001 - 2 each - soft start control. CLIN 0002 - 2 each - provide and install compressor enhancement kits for the same model unit. CLIN 0003 ? Labor. Vendors have 6 days to respond. Responses will not be accepted after 1:00PM CST on 13 September 2006. Should this request not result in any small business the Government intends to enter in to negotiations with McQuay. The Government reserves the right to change this posting to a combined/solicitation synopsis at any time. This sources sought announcement does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The U.S. Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement.
