In accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 19 Subpart 19.10 Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Public Law 100-656) the National Park Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ) for Replacement of Roof - Plains Train Depot at Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains (Sumter County), Georgia. This work includes selected historic preservation work on the exterior of the nationally significant historic Train Depot. The one story wooden building was completed in 1890. The purpose of this project is to provide a watertight roofing system to the building. This requirement is NOT a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160; the size standard is $7.0 million. Estimated price range: between $25,000 and $100,000. The Solicitation will be issued September 21, 2006. There will NOT be a Pre-Bid meeting. A site visit is strongly recommended. The point of contact at the park will be Jim Johnston.
