- Sources Sought Air Combat Command Contracting Squadron, Langley AFB VA, is in the process of determining the acquisition strategy to obtain non-personal services for U-2 Contract Aircrew Training and Courseware Development at Beale AFB, CA. The period of performance will cover a one-year base period with five, one-year options. The government expects to make an award on or about 28 May 07, with a two month phase in period (Aug-Sep 07) and performance start date of 1 Oct 07. This acquisition will be issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP) on or about 8 Jan 07. Draft Statement of Work (SOW) will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about 11 Sep 06. Interested parties should review these documents and provide any comments via e-mail to this office. The Air Force will consider and respond to all inputs received. Industry response is encouraged to ensure all parties have maximum opportunity to participate in this acquisition. The government plans to use the Internet and e-mail as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging information. Hard copies will not be made available. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611512. The government seeks industry input to determine if this acquisition should be a total set-aside under the auspice of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 19. Interested small businesses who are certified and qualified as a small business concern in NAICS 611512 are encouraged to respond and submit their notification to this office NLT COB on 6 Dec 06. Responding small businesses may later be required to submit a capabilities package outlining their capabilities in key areas as determined by the government and relevant to the performance of this requirement.
