Description

The purpose of this amendment is to correct the bid guarantee amount and provide answers to questions asked on September 8. On page 43 of the solicitation, revise 52.228-1 (c) to read "The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20 percent of the bid price or $500,000, whichever is less". Question 1. It is my understanding that no new additional hardware (locksets, closers, kick plates etc...) are to be installed on the 37 animal room metal doors. Doors are only to be modified. Is this correct? Answer: Amendment 000001 contains an Option Line Item for replacing doors. If the COR determines a door needs replacing, the replacement effort would include all new hardware, frame and seal per the Attachment 2 specification in addition to the new door itself. The unit price for this option item should include all these costs. Question 2. Question #4 of the pre-proposal conference. Are sill plates and thresholds considered the same thing. Answer: Yes. The proposal due date remains 4:30 pm CST on September 19, 2006.
