- Description
- Provide and install carpet in 50 dormitory rooms. Each dormitory room will require approximately 20-24 square yards of carpet, for an approximate total of 640-768 square yards of carpet. Contractor shall verify all conditions and dimensions prior to installation of new carpet and base. Notes: Measure and verify each dormitory rooms square foot Cut out existing carpet around edges of each room to install new tack strip Install new carpet over existing carpet tiles Stretch / tack all carpet Install aluminum metal transitions Install four inch vinyl cove base (color to be determined) Flexible installation schedule (only 4-6 rooms at one time) Removal of all trash generated by contractor on this project Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center will remove all furniture and doors to allow for installation. Contractor shall provide the center a time schedule that indicates on a daily basis what areas they will be carpeting so that the operator can have the rooms available in a timely manner.
